Coolest Mom Ever

Last weekend, I met up with the "M" family. It has been a number of years since Mom had professional photos done of her son. When he was 4 she had an album made by a photographer that she just loves. But now he is 10 and she is ready to capture him again today. In discussing the shoot we strategized about things we could do to promote relaxed candid portraiture. Since he is 10 now we knew that he would not quickly forget that I was there like the little ones do. This is where she officially became the coolest mom ever. She brought his best friend along to the shoot. The motive was two fold. One because she would love to have some pictures of them together for this new album but also to keep things relaxed. What a difference a friend makes. It was a first for me to have a friend come along but boy was it fun. I so enjoyed capturing the dynamic of the friendship and he helped bring out some great smiles.
